Hemp and Social Justice: Addressing the Legacy of Cannabis Prohibition
The legalization of hemp, while a significant step forward, cannot erase the deep-seated injustices stemming from decades of cannabis prohibition. This era of criminalization disproportionately targeted Black and Brown communities, leading to mass incarceration, economic devastation, and lasting social stigma.
